On 3 and 4 September the city of Colle Val d’Elsa hosts the 12th edition of “LiberaCollarte”
Now in its 12th edition, “LiberaCollarte” returns richer than ever with an explosion of events and appointments for all tastes. After a year of hiatus, due to the pandemic that has postponed the 2020 edition, one of the most important and innovative appointments in Colle Val d’Elsa, “LiberaCollarte”, will take over the city on 3 and 4 September with a completely renewed edition ready to amaze everyone. The program was recently presented by Mayor Alessandro Donati at a press conference, alongside the multiservice company and the B-Side Association. Expectations are high for an event that every year has been able to pour thousands of visitors to Colle due to the stature of the artists involved, usually international in scope and the diversified cultural offer that this year will not disappoint expectations. Among the novelties of this edition, the direct involvement of the committee of bars and restaurants that will organize various activities outside their premises. The opening night of Friday 3 September will see three different events: the Liberacollosport talk will be held in Piazza Duomo starting at 9:00 pm: Colle di Val d’Elsa, land of sport and excellence. Awarding of the sporting excellence of the city such as Irene Siracusa, present at the Olympics and presentation of the “Liberacollarte” cocktail and mixology show. The second appointment will instead see in Piazza Unità dei Popoli the concert of Max Casacci, founder of Subsonica starting at 22:00. The third appointment on Friday takes place in the extraordinary Piazza Arnolfo, the futuristic “Visual Mapping” on the former station building led by Q2 Visual on the notes of the sound track by Dario Firuzabadì. For Saturday 4 starting from 5.30 pm in the Mars space “Musical readings for children” organized by the Municipal Library M. Braccagni and the Mosaic Association. In the Ponte di San Francesco the Zeugma Collective presents “Welcome to sound Valley” electronic sound system that from 7:00 pm will accompany the participants until 2:00 am. In addition, the traveling artists Galirò and Domenico Ciano will perform with their performances around the city from 7.30pm onwards. In Piazza S. Agostino at 9.00 pm the contemporary dance show “The Divina’s” organized by the Motus company will take place. In Piazza Scala there will then be baroque music of the eighteenth century with “Ortobarocco” and the parade / show with costumes of the eighteenth century. Finally, the two evening shows: one in Piazza Arnolfo with Montecarlo night orchestra, while in Piazza Unità the Almamegretta concert. At dawn on September 5th then (6:15 am) from the Baluardo you can follow the concert by Martina Bellesi with “Bach – Cello suite n.1 prelude”. Two evenings full of events where contemporary art returns to take over the city with various events scattered around every corner of Colle.
Among the many traders who have joined the organization with external appointments, we remember the musical evening at Ristorante “Il Cardinale“, elegant location of the Relais della Rovere, where an exceptional menu is promised enlivened by the jazz notes of a group of professional artists involved for the occasion who will perform throughout the evening in the external garden of the structure.
