Calici
di Stelle

Usually held in August, the appointments between villages and wineries for Calici di Stelle embrace the whole boot. The event is organized by the Wine Tourism Movement and the Wine City which every summer for several years has brought to our cities, following a different theme for each edition, evenings at night dedicated to wine and the pleasure of being together. From the Aosta Valley to Sicily, in the first two weeks of August a myriad of appointments with shows, events, performances and cultural events that have wine as their lowest common denominator, better if tasted under a carpet of stars. In addition to the advice that the Città del Vino Association offers to the member Municipalities in the organization of Calici di Stelle, there is also the possibility of enriching every evening on the calendar with the guided observation of the sky and the stars thanks to the collaboration of the Associations of amateur astronomers affiliated to the Italian Amateur Astronomers Union. Colle Val d’Elsa has been participating in the initiative for years, usually held on 10 August with a dinner in Piazza Duomo enlivened by classical and jazz music that ends with the observation of the stars from the rampart of Colle Alta. The evening of Calici di stelle in Colle Val d’Elsa is evocative and full of emotions, where the evening has a particular charm, a dip in the Renaissance on which medieval towers stand among the pleasures of wine, persuasive melodies and romantic observations of the sky.
